Caryn’s path to YouNique is somewhat different than one might expect. She and Bethany worked together for two years at Randstad where Caryn was Bethany’s HR Business Partner and biggest collaborator in making changes to their business unit.
Aside from being good collaborators at a corporate level, Caryn and Bethany also shared an interest in home renovations and design, and would often discuss the projects they were working on in their homes. So naturally, when Caryn and her husband had a need – they became a client of YouNique. In this most recent adventure, Caryn and Craig bought a 30-year-old house that was in desperate need of an update. Before moving in, they kicked things off with a four-month renovation. This first phase of work involved completely gutting the main level, creating a new layout, adding over 1,000 square feet through two separate additions, and creating a stunning kitchen and bathrooms.
Caryn brings over 10 years of Human Resources and management experience to the business. Most recently, she worked as an Employer Branding Consultant with a boutique firm where she was responsible for managing projects from initiation through to launch with various national and global organizations across different industries. Caryn is known for her ability to build rapport with her clients, and for her unwavering commitment to collaborating with clients to help them address their challenges and achieve their goals.
Caryn is thrilled to join YouNique as Managing Director of their Whitby showroom. In this role, Caryn will be responsible for building and managing the business that flows through their newest location. With her background in Human Resources Management, Caryn will also be overseeing YouNique’s human resources functions, and will be partnering with Andrew and Bethany to help them achieve their vision and goals as a business.
