Bethany’s path to YouNique is unconventional, having spent most of her career in management positions with Consulting and Human Resource firms including Knightsbridge and Randstad. While “flipping” houses with her husband Andrew six years ago, she met Tom Clarke, the former owner of Clarke Kitchen Centre. During their own renovations, Bethany realized that project management, design and renovations were more than just a part of their strategy in real estate – it was a passion.
From there an idea was born – to build a company focused on clients’ specific needs during a renovation, remodel or build. But where to start? Having had such a great experience working with Tom, who had an excellent reputation and a business that served as the core to what would be built, Bethany and Andrew bought Clarke Kitchen Centre and YouNique was born.
Bethany’s consulting and management background gives her a lot of insight on building a company where the client experience is at the core of the business strategy, execution, and service. Today, YouNique is making its mark, one happy client at a time, as a full-service Design, Supply and Build firm, partnering with many local businesses to drive an outstanding client experience.
Bethany’s personal design influences are fluid – inspired by trends and the classics, you can find her renovating her own spaces in practical, simple and elegant materials. She believes strongly in developing a design team of “listeners and collaborators” who continually learn through working with clients and creating new ideas, bringing to life designs that exceed all expectations.
